BetsyIt’s my understanding that a medical note/exam will suffice. What we take are drugs that are banned but an exception that is recognized as long as there is medical evidence to back it up. The evidence is important from what I have been told when I’ve inquired.
I correspond occasionally with one of the anti-doping officials from the Olympics Committee (he’s also on the world sports committee, whatever that means) and am happy to do an introduction if you want and if your question is a serious one for your kid.
You would need to write a letter for him that I can simply forward with a note and I am happy to send it along. Alternatively, you could probably write them directly as I understand they are quite accessible for your questions. This person I write with is one of the people on the committee that decides what is illegal and what is not.
Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to share his address.
