corriHi amanda
I know it is upsetting when you find out something is wrong with your child. Every parent wants their children to be "normal" and helathy. Just as M.R. said read as much as you can on it and become an expert if you will. You are your childs advocate. After the intial shock you will get over this and it will be what is "normal
for your family. I do not believe late onset will cause ambiguous genitalia. Have you contacted the cares foundation? Check their website it has so much usefull info. I do not know as much about late onset my son has the salt wasting type, which is life threatning. The reason they do not find out about late onset until later is because it is not life threatning the form my son has is and he almost died thats how we found out. Some people will go their whole life having late onset and never even know it. Do your research and make a list of questions for the dr and after they have all of the test they will be able to tell you everything you need to know.I hope this helps
you may email me if you have any questions
