I would also think that too much cortisol would cause a round full puffy face - which is the classic sign of Cushings, more prevalent than a big stomach.  Saying that men of a certain age tend to put weight on, on thier stomachs - middle age spread which they say is due to change in hormones!  I do not think Jill took offence at all but was stating interesting facts.
