My 5 yr old went thru the reconstructive surgery when she was about 5 mos. old. She was a prader 5 and where she voided needed to be corrected. She has not had any adverse affects from this surgery however about 4 mos ago she started complaining of genital area hurting. We went & saw her urologist she went under for a vagioplasty. Everything turned out to be just fine. The urologist told us that she will have these complaints on & off and to just keep listening to her if she has anymore complaints. So far so good and her labs just came back and she is doing very well. I do hope everything turns out well for your little one. Please keep us posted.
