re: Tubes in Ears

My daughter (SWCAH) had tubes put in her ears at 9 months. She was born with a cleft palate and constantly had fluid in her middle ear- apparently something associated with kids with clefts. Tubes going in were a piece of cake and immediately solved the fluid problem. Unlike Jane’s child, tho, Katie’s tubes have already fallen out (she’s 2 now) and the fluid is back in her ears. We’re going to the ENT today to see if we have to put another set in.
If your son is having ear infections all the time, definantly think about doing the tubes. I think the surgery is less truamatic than having infections all the time.
Good luck!
