I have booklets that I have received from the Texas Department of Newborn Screening that tell all about CAH. You can get similar materials from the Magic Foundation and some pedi endocrinologists will have them in their office, too. But, I digress. I make sure that my child’s teacher and school nurse both have one of these booklets. I put sticky notes on the pages with the most significance and go over with them what to do in an emergency. Additionally, my son wears a MedicAlert bracelet, which makes me feel better, too.
