The company I work for changed Medical Benefits at 1/1/05.  With this change, pharmacy co-pay went way up.  Our boys are currently taking cortef and this medication cost us $35.00 a month for each boy (30 day supply).  I sent a letter of appeal to the company that manages our pharmacy benefits to see if I could get the cortef at a generic price and was denied.  The denial letter stated that the alternative would be Hydrocortisone 20mg tabs.  My concern is our boys have been doing really well on the Cortef and I don’t want to change this medication.  We have placed a call to our endo to discuss this issue.  He is out of town until Monday.

Anyone else on Hydrocortisone 20mg tabs?  If so, how is it working????
