I had a meeting today with the first responders and the local EMS director. I gave them papers on My son with SWCAH and told them of the severity of the situation. I also asked them if they carried the Solu-Cortef on the EMS cart and the guy who is in charge todl me that they about 6,000mg of the solu-cortef but, that is was a different name brand so he was gonna call My son’s peds endo and ask her if what they have would be ok to give him in need of a crisis. I also asked them what we could do in case of emergency at school and at home with the 911 system and they said that they would put him in the system and what he had and what he needed so when ever there was a call that his name would pop up and they woud know what to do then. I was so glad that I got to talk with them. I did ask the 1st responders if they could give the im injection and they said no that the emt and paramedics woudl do that. They would just give him oxygen and keep him calm untill the ems got to the scene. I was just very pleased with how things went today. I just hope that we never  have to try out the system but if we do I think that it will run smoothly. I hope everyone out there can get the same response I have gotten with my Local ems and first responders!! Misty
