A virilized girl does appear to be male on sonogram generally anytime after about 16-18 weeks. My 1st swcah daughter was called a boy until she was 10 days old. My 2nd daughter they said at 14 weeks it was a girl, by week 17 they wouldn’t say one or the other, that’s when I knew. My last sonogram was with the tech who did the 14week one and she said if she had not done the first one she would have at that point (36 weeks) said it was a boy w/ a hypospadius. The OB even tried telling me again at delivery that he thought it was a boy!!! Hope this helps.
