My 9 year old SW CAH’er has broken 3 bones,  all slight breaks, collar bone, hand, and stress fracture in the leg.  I stressed dossed for all 3, no need in our case for the injection.  I would give the shot if it were a compound fracture or something really bad. All of ours were just bad falls....I did not know about his hand for several days, if not a week, and I must say he was feeling a bit shaky, but we triple dosed him for a couple days and he was back to his old self.  We were at the endo’s office on a Friday afternoon, heading on vacation on Saturday.  The endo said how have you been feeling, and he said really good except for my hand...we went a got an x-ray and it was broken, but it was not a big dea, no cast or anything.

Good luck to you.
