My daughter had precocious puberty and a very strange doctor measured her breasts with a ruler while muttering to himself.  My son has always had his testicles examined once or twice with beads to see how large they are.  I’m actually happy to have this done because I’ve been very concerned that he would go into early puberty.  If we catch it early we can stop it.  I think it’s been the gist of the responses that it’s necessary so please try to have a good attitude and your kids won’t feel uptight about it.
