Ian this often happens with most men, not just those with CAH, it could be the normal stresses and strains of life. You are very anxious and stressed about your forthcoming meeting which in itself may cause problems. I hope it will help you get over your treatment as a child. I do feel that when you were young, doctors were not as approachable and I do think a lot has changed for the better, you just need to look at the children wards today, many years ago you could not stay with your child, only visit during certain hours. I know it is not an easy thing to do, but I do think you need to let go of the past and think positively towards the future, for your own sake as well as your family’s. Hopefully by writing your book and speaking to the doctor, will help with this. Testosterone levels vary throughout the day, so the time of your blood test could be an influencing factor. Why not ask for some more tests. Good luck
