Danny CarltonI’m not sure Viagra would help in a case like this. Under suppression would mean that androgens are being pushed into the blood stream. Over suppression would mean too much cortisol is. I would imagine in the case of the androgens, the testicles (which test the blood before deciding how much hormones to produce just like the adrenal glands do) would automatically lower production with the presence of androgens. Just as the Cortef or Prednisone suppresses the adrenal glands, too many of certain hormones would also suppress the testicles.
Viagra works by allowing the blood flow to the genital to increase, which is an entirely different thing from hormonally suppressed testicles.
Of course, I’m not a doctor and that’s just a lay opinion. But the hype about Viagra and the other versions of it, over-exaggerate it’s effectiveness in order to sell pills. Doctors have criticized the "if you experience an erection lasting more than four hours" bit as a crass marketing ploy.
