I am currently pregnant with my second child.  My 4 year old son has SWCAH.  I started dex when I was 5 wks pregnant.  The sooner your wife can start the better the chances are that your daughter will not need surgery.  Your wife can choose to not take the dex.  There are side effects such as weight gain, anxiety, acne.  So far I am ok.  I have gained weight and I do have acne on my chest and back now, but hoping it stays off my face.  At 15 weeks I will have amnio to determine the sex of the baby and to determine if it has CAH.  We did genetic testing two weeks ago and are waiting on those results on myself, husband, and son.  This test is necessary to determine if the baby has in thru amnio.
