We always get our son’s shot as early in the season as they become available.  The clinic where our Pediatrician practices holds 3 shot ’clinics’ on a walk-in basis before they will begin to take individual appointments for shots.  The first, coming up on a couple of weeks, is for high risk individuals.  Our son qualifies as high risk due to his SWCAH.  I have also heard others say that the parents and caregivers would also qualify for early shots, but my husband and I have always just waited until they open it up to everyone.
