Mitzi , takes her liquid meds in a syringe........so we started telling her very early she can be a big girl and do it her self. She puts the syringe in her mouth and pushes the plunger. then we continued to reinforce what a big girl she is. Soon she wanted to do it for herself all the time. (of course we measure the dosage and make sure she takes it !) Her florinef we still put in her morning milk. I do though remember a few times she just plain refused so we did not make an issue out of it..... at THAT time and gave it too her a little later. It is about them feeling they have some control. Try asking her when do you want to take your medicine...maybe afterwhile ? Let her feel she is the one in control and then PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE. If all else fails I have told Mitzi we can do this the easy way or the hard way...which way do you want to do it ??? This USUALLY gets a positive response! LOL Good LuckCherry Lane
