First bee sting

Hello all!  My 7 year old daughter(ssw cah) survived her first bee sting yesterday at school.  We have been really concerned because there are so many yellow jackets at the school right now and they are swarming and very aggressive.  They’ve had the bee people out trying to take care of the nests but they discovered most of them are coming from the protected wet lands behind the school and can’t do anything about it. 20 kids were stung yesterday!  We were panicked when it first happened!  My 9 year old is severely allergic- instant reaction.  She has been staying in from recess because they are so bad.  So we’ve never known if Elle is allergic.  They treated her with benadryl, gave her an extra cortef and some juice.  They put ice on her finger and let her stay with the nurse for awhile.  She did great!  No problems at all except for a little localized swelling.  They will continue to keep her on the bee sting allergy list and keep her epi pen there.  The school did an amazing job!  And her little friends were so helpful.  One of them stayed with Elle and the other ran and got a teacher.  The whole staff jumped right in to get her to the nurse.  In fact, the principal called us at home last night to make sure she was doing ok.  I feel very blessed!  Thanks for your support on this board everyone!
