Public School VS Home school?

My husband and I have been looking into options for my SWCAH son as far as school is concerned. I am really concerned about sending him to a school that doesn’t have a nurse on duty. Around my area the schools can’t afford one nor can they get state funding for one. We don’t even have a nurse on duty in the public special needs school now. I live in the country and it would take me 20 minutes or more to get to any of the schools around me. If he needed solu-cortef would I make it time? Most teachers I’ve talked to are NOT comfortable giving shots or meds. Would they all be that way? I am considering home schooling him, but feel like he will miss out on a lot if I do.  I’m concerned that I am WAY too over-protective and he will feel like I’ve taken opportunities away from him because of SWCAH. I don’t want him to resent me when he grows up.

My question is are any of you having this same problem? What decisions have you made and why?

My husband is completely supportive on what ever we do.

We just want our son to be safe and successful in life.
