Although it is rare, not all SW’s are detected at birth.  My son is SWCAH and he was not diagnosed until 3.  He was definitely sick during those first 3 years and I look back now and think about how many bullets we probably dodged those first years.  It took him growing pubic hair at 3 before we finally got the diagnosis.

I guess what I am trying to say is there will always be cases that don’t follow the textbook.
