I can not say about what other surgeons do, but Dr. Baskin did not recommend dilation at this time.  We understand that stenosis may occur and may need to be corrected at a later time.  Because of UTI’s, we felt it was in her best interest to perform the surgery now rather than later.  Fortunately, her clitoris enlargement was so minimal that we decided that it was not necessary to do a reduction.
