When my son went into crisis about 10 months ago, it started because he had gastroenteritis (severe stomach bug) and couldn’t keep fluids down.  He got very pale, except for the circles around his eyes.  We could not keep him awake.  When he was awake, he had a vacant stare in his eyes.  Once he got his solu-cortef and the ER rehydrated him ( the process took from 10 pm until 4:30 am) he went into a peaceful sleep.  When he woke up, he was a normal 11 month old who wanted to play.
