My son has had 3 bouts of "Tourette-like" symptoms.  Each time it seemed to be just as they started a new, increased dose of his steroids.  It was especially bad when switched to pednisolone(?) when he was 5 years old.  He would clear his throat and turn his head.  It was ever so slight, but after a while it became bothersome and more noticable.  We switched him to Cortef and, while it continued for a short time, it eventually faded and stopped. 

Since then we have had two very subtle episodes and shorter blocks of time.  As I said earlier, they seemed to run side by side with a med adjustment.
