Wow, this is all great info and we really appreciate it.  The units were actually in dL.

Our son was born in California on 6/3/05 at 27 weeks gestational age weighing 1040 grams (2lbs 4oz).    The history of tests are:

week of 6/5/05       6,320

6/11/05                    2,724

6/23/05                         94

7/18/05                          89

8/10/05                          65

He was released from the NICU on 8/13.  A blood test done over two weeks ago (10/24) showed levels in the mid 100s.  He weighs 12 pounds now which is more than double his weight at the time of his discharge.  However, we have not changed the dosage on his meds at all.

We are less concerned about living with CAH.  From everything we have seen it seems very manageable.  Right now, we are worryed that if he does not have CAH could we do potential harm to him by giving him these medications?

a. hydrocortisone 2mg/ml suspension - 0.45ml every 8 hours

b. florinef 100mcg/ml  suspension - 1.0ml every 24hours

c. sodium chloride 4MEQ (23.4%) sol - 0.35ml every 12 hours.
