Cherry LaneI hope you don’t take offense in the reason some were questioning the logic to the Jennifer/foster child plight. Obviously we KNOW we can pick up a phone and call the numbers and verify the Truth and facts of this crisis. This is not what needs to be done! What needs to be done is for the goverment agency who places these children in the care of willing parents is to give them some lead way and responsibility in the health care of the child. My theory is if I am good enough to wipe there butt ......... am good enough to keep them from being sick and sign health care papers!!! This situation does not just happen to foster children.... there are children all over the country that have no health coverage and getting them treated is like pulling teeth from a dinosaur. What do we need to do? How many children must suffer? How many parents bury there young before there time? WHY? Because SOME numbskull has a checklist of goverment policy bull and a ring of hoops one must jump through to get our children treated in hospitals. Sometimes EVEN with excellent insurance. We need to take some sort of action in a positive way to make sure children are not treated like skidrow bums. Write to hospital administration and social agencies and your Congress and goverment to help change the laws regarding health care for ALL children. It scares me when the world we live in can get a dog treated at a vet easier than we can get a seriously ill child treated at the hospital. FURIOUS WHOAAAAA! I AM BEYOND FURIOUS! This is a disgrace in todays society.
