My SWCAH son Cameron is having a hard time suppressing his hormones. We have tried CT scans, MRI’s, testicular ultrasounds and the doctors find nothing. Now the doctor says he wants to try a week of dexamethazone the do blood tests again to see if things are better. The doctor seems to be concerned about him being 3 and a little tall for his age. He also has a little bit of pubic hair. His penis size is of to concern to him too. He says if this doesnt work then surgery is probably the next step. His previous endo would admit him at the first sign of trouble, get his levels balanced out and then send us home. That was his solution to everything, go to the hospital. I was very upset when the doctor mentioned surgery. Is it likely that the dex will work? Has anyone gone through the surgery that he is speaking of?
