The FISH test is a test that they do with the fluid from the amnio to determine the sex of the baby.  It is really important in females who are undergoing dex treatments because if the baby is a boy then they can be weened off the dex immediately after the sex of the baby is known.  they usually get results back in 24-48 hours.
