Hi all! I know we have talked about chicken pox here before but I am too tired to dig in the archives. My daughter’s school nurse called to personally inform me that her second grade class has been exposed to the chicken pox. I thanked her for calling me personally then told her I wasn’t too worried since she had the vaccine for it as an infant. The nurse told me that wasn’t always a for sure thing, her daughter had the vaccine and still got them at age 10. Nice. I talked to a friend of mine and her daughter had the vaccine and STILL got them at at 2. Anyone else have themselves with CAH OR their child with CAH go through chicken pox? My other question is, has anyone been vaccinated and STILL get chicken pox?  I cannot remember but itching myself to death when I was sick with the chicken pox as a kid. I am itching just thinking about it. How sick does a kid get especially one with CAH? Does it affect them any differently since they take steriods. I read on the prescription information packet they give you, that when taking Cortef you should avoid chicken pox. Well duh, shouldn’t everyone avoid chicken pox? But seriously, why would they print that on the information packet for Cortef? Thanks everyone.
