steroids and Chicken Pox

Coincidentally, I read a disturbing article just yesterday about chicken pox and steroids.  It said that if you are taking steroids for any condition, you can get a more severe case of chicken pox.  It recommended, if at all possible, that people who are exposed to chicken pox immediately stop taking steroids.  And it can take two weeks before you know if you will get chicken pox.  Obviously people with severe CAH can’t stop taking steroids.  But what about LOCAH kids?  My son was just under 6 months when my daughter got chicken pox.  He had about 3 little pox.  Supposedly you get immune if you are over 6 months and have 4 or more pox.  Something like that.  So I got him the shot too.  But now I still don’t know if he’s protected.  It is really worrisome.  One of my daughter’s teachers got it and she was disabled for a long time.  Thank god she finally got better.
