Abby had chicken pox when she was 13 months old.  I had just found out that I was pregnant with Ellie.  Abby was too young to get the vaccine when she caught.  We were panicked!  Turned out though, besides giving her some itching lotion and oatmeal baths, she had no problems!  She never had a fever or anything.  Ellie had the vaccine and so far has not had it.  I have heard that you can get the pox even after the shot.
