My daughter is extremely sound sensitive. She is 8. Since she was a toddler all loud music would make her cringe. Even if we go to the movies today, we have to sit in a section furthest away from the speakers. She cannot handle over loud classrooms either. So we try and work with the teacher before the school year to take that into account. We usually pick the classrooms with more order and quietness. It totally distracts her. Watch this all change when she turns into a teen. My nephew with CAH was the same way. So I have no idea if the connection to CAH is the culprit or what. I never outrule CAH in anything. Nor do I blame it on everything but I sure don’t outrule it.
