I too am sensitive to sounds - crying babies used to drive me crazy (before I had my own). Nothing wears me down more than days when my students are extra noisy (I’m a 5th grade teacher). I do get migraines and sound is a big factor there - makes it worse. When my cortisol is low I just can’t stand much of any sound. When I taught 8th grade I would be fried by the end of the day - my daughter would want to play the radio on the way home from school and I just couldn’t stand it. Nothing sets me off quicker than a lot of noise when I’m over tired or low on cortisol. I can go from normal to "witch" in about 2 seconds!Susan A.
