re: Does anyone else have this problem?

My daughter is 8. We have had such a bad time this past month I am right there with you. That is all I want for Christmas this year. I want one healthy month for my daughter. Everything was going along fine. Not great, she would catch a cold here and there but nothing huge. October 31st, it was all over. She got slammed with walking pnemonia. Out for a week. Then a couple of weeks ago she was slammed with a sinus infection that sent her into a horrific asthma reaction. Off ANOTHER week. She too has asthma. My daughter is on Advair Diskus every day. We were weining her off this summer because she has had no problems whatsover since she was diagnosed at age 4 or 5. What a mistake. She has NEVER had a reaction until now. It took a LONG time for her to recover from that. Now I sit and hold my breath. What will come along next. We have not had the chance to get her blood work done because she has been sick. I KNOW my daughter needs her meds. adjusted. Maybe your son does too since he is growing so much at that age. This CAH thing can be such a mystery at times. Too much too little not enough......... all cause havoc. I wish I had some words of wisdom but if anything I can say I feel your pain! We should both be bald by the end of this cold/fllu season!  NO MORE COLDS, NO MORE COLDS........

Perhaps your son has allergies that are new too. Those can act as cold very easily. We thought my daughter had colds all fall until she was diagnosed. Here that is her worst allergy time. Sometimes it came with fevers but that was because it turned into sinus infections. I just don’t know. Let us just pray and ask Santa for some good health in our stockings. Take care.
