Thanks for your input, Bonnie. The stim test was done in the morning; the insulin test was fasting, but just a normal blood draw, not a 2 hr. test. I had that done once for gestational diabetes (it was negative) after the regular fasting test was high, and I got the impression then that the regular test is a screen--that they only do the more extended test if the first one is abnormal.

Yes, your son’s stim results were about twice as high as my daughter’s and it sounds like you had good reason to get him treatment since his bone age was advancing. Glad you found someone to do it. Along with the hormonal problems, my daughter suffers from chronic hives (hives every day for 2 1/2 yrs). I believe that the 2 are related and would love to try anything that might straighten out her hormones and possibly end the hives and get her off all the antihistamines she takes to suppress them. Two endos we’ve seen say they don’t know any reason they should be related and are not willing to even admit she has a problem! Very frustrating.
