If you want to try cortef why not get someone to prescribe it again for the hives?  Prednisone is just a stronger form of cortef.  my son was first put on prednisone - once a day before bed and of course he stopped growing totally but that shouldn’t be an issue for your daughter.  See if other things get better on the prednisone.

Also, my daughter (and niece) took a two hour OGTT test.  Her sugar was normal but she had borderline insulin resistance.  I think she would look normal on the preliminary diabetes test too.  I think it’s a different test.  I wish I knew more about this stuff.  I have a book at home called "Androgen disorders of women".  I can’t find it right now but I think it’s written by a woman.
