The doctors are the ones that send in the pictures and I’ve seen pictures on many search engines besides being on the receiving end of the camera. It’s not like they are going to take pictures of the adrenal gland folks.

Interesting how nobody except Ian acknowledged what the girl was feeling.

It seems that some are rather ashamed that someone can be born like me ...geeez get over it or really launch a campaign to ban pictures of what excessive androgens may do or take it upon yourselves to educate the medical community the whole picture of what CAH is really about

 

Doctors take pictures of everything and yep it’s difficult when it’s done to you as a child and really would of benefited from some acknowledegement that pictures and genital exams mess people up but hey that site and others have pictures of tons  of conditions.

I’ve seen university sites with cah genital pics.- There is a CAH & pictures power point on the web somewhere also.

 

Yeah, took my pictures for CAH but also took my pictures next to little kids with cancer that didn’t make it. We have a condition that may affect a sensitive private body part but doctors learn from pictures-no matter the trauma for the patient ...ummm doctors hope that the patient feels part of the process of the learning...healing....teaching about whatever condition instead of medical rape but real pictures are part of their learning -drawing are no justice. New pictures different variations of virilizations. Maybe the pictures could tract the decline or rise in certain virilizations. Interesting from a medical point...as for the surgeries? Doctors are really proud of their work. I know those folks at the U of Mich were very proud of what was done to me- I’m so messed up from the exams ect. but I do know that endo was darn proud pulling up my gown showing all the medical students. These pictures at medical internet sites are the same way- the doctors are proud to send them in and they all have a pow- wow about the cases and learn from them.

I had a doctor that I was sure had a certain endocrine condition and I did an internet search to see pictures of people with it.

Radiation for my cancer? Yep ..you bet .... before pictures of the radiation field was taken and talk about the trauma that I felt about being drawed on with a marker given three freckle sized tattooes at the radiation field sites and hearing that polariod snap pictures of the area. Then the after pictures were taken of the areas also- I didn’t have any burn marks like pictures of other people that I’ve seen. The little kids ...those tuff fighters went through pictures for cancer also.

Everyone has something and with respect to you but when it comes to CAH it’s like gasp - lets not bring up that part of CAH and you don’t seem to want CAH out in the mainsteam where it should be  ...let me see ....thyroid issues, CAH, diabetes.
