I opted for amnio at 15 wks.  It was a little safer than cvs.  The prenatal doc. mentioned that we could just see the sex on ultrasound and decide, but I was uncomfortable with that because the dex is not a sure thing so what if it was a girl that appeared to be a little boy.  I just wanted to know.  On our ultrasound at 15 wks they could not tell if it was a boy or girl.  We had the FISH test done where they use the amnio. fluid and you know the sex in 48 hrs.  I am having a girl.  We do not know yet if she has CAH.  It has been 21/2 weeks since my amnio.  I felt like you too about the miscarriage, but mine went fine.  Go with what feels right to you.  I am tired of the dex.  It has called alot of swelling with me, and the longer I’m on it the worse it gets, but its tolerable.  I know it could be worse.  I’ll pray for you.  I know it is all so overwhelming.  I am 19wks preg.
