LauraWell it is 10:30 and we have a count of 22. Not bad I would say. Low grade fever has reacted well to the Motrin we have given her every 8 hours. (after checking for a fever) she has only had a 99.2 low grade fever. Thank God. Called endo. and they said to stress dose only if the fever started to rise. But to be very careful on stress dosing. NOT to over do it because it does suppress the bodies immune, and chicken pox is not a time to do that.
They are finally starting to look like a real chicken pox too. The kind with the clear liquid bubble on them. They started out as little pink spots all over, now they are starting to "blister". Of course not like the Internet shows. I am sure that is from an example of a pox that was never vaccinated previously. So those that have been vaccinated, and get them, just remember that it is at first hard to tell if it is a pox or not. The school nurse said that now she has to report who got them, how many, if they were vaccinated or not, how many days they missed ect. to the county health department. I guess over a certain percentage and they have to follow these health department rules. I like that, sounds like they are working for us. I am thanking God tonight that we my daughter got them early and it won’t hinder her Christmas joy. Of course I know Santa doesn’t care if she has Chicken Pox. (wink) I am extremely tired from the early morning stress. Thanks for all your support everyone. I am off to bed. I gave her Benedryl for the night time. That should control the itching in her scalp. Her head has got the most right now. Hard to soak that part in the tub of Aveno. Good night!
