Cherry, I guess you mean, do be their friend - (Don’t be there friend and treat them with respect and hopefully it will work out). I think by being a friend as well as mum to both my daughters, created a very strong bond and led to trouble free teenage years and even now they have left home, they still consider me their best friend. It is true what you say, and the love, relationship, respect and time you give with them whilst they grow up teaches them right from wrong.
