If your son DID get the vaccine for Measles, you should have nothing worry about. I logged off and thought about it for a minute. I wondered if it was because my daughter had the vaccine for Chicken Pox and still got them, that worried you. Because if that is the case Misty, the Chicken Pox vaccine is fairly new to the community in the U.S. They are just now finding out that a booster is needed. When I talked to a lot of the moms about the vaccine they were told it was 100 percent effective BUT the only guarantee they were given is that IF they were exposed to the Chicken Pox, they would get a mild case. When you are talking Measles vaccine that is a whole different story. The info. I posted above tells you that. The vaccine is pretty much full proof and has worked since what, the 50’s. The cases that DO come out are the one’s where the person was NOT vaccinated. So please, if your son WAS vaccinated don’t worry. You have enough to worry about. And as scary as that stomach bug going around is a scary threat, you guys will get through it. It stinks and I know you said your son doesn’t do well and has to be hospitalized for many sickenesses but still. He will be ok because YOU are giving him the proper care for when he DOES get sick. You sound like you take the necessary steps to ensure that. Have confidence in your care. And don’t forget, give the rest to God.Laura
