Thank You

I just want to thank all of you for your good advice. I am grateful that I stumbled across this web site. The problem that I am having is there is only one endocrinologist in this state, he is 120 miles away and does not do pediatrics. He was kind enough to look at my son and order tests. He knew Jackson had CAH the minute he finished examining him, it was just a matter of figuring out what type. Once he made a diagnosis, he referred us to Denver Children’s Hospital, which is a 4 ½-hour drive. We have yet to see the doctor in Denver who can actually finish testing him, and put him on medication. Maybe once we do that, my nerves will calm down. It is just so hard to know that if my son has an emergency there is no one who can treat him here. We moved from Denver a few months ago to get the kids out of the city and away from the crime and violence so they would be safer. Now it seems that Jackson, health wise, is extremely at risk here. We are thinking of moving back depending on what the doctor tells us. I took him to the clinic to have his blood pressure taken and they did not even have a cuff small enough to fit his arm. This clinic treats newborn babies, how can they not have an infant BP cuff? We do not know if the BP readings are even accurate. This is why I came to this web site for help. I have to take my sons care into my own hands as much as I can. Thanks for listening and welcoming me to your web site. I wish everyone happy holidays!

P.S. Danny, I found a perfect BP home monitor from one of the web sites you recommended. Thank you!
