There was a study done by NIH recently regarding excercise,  the conclusion, as I understood it, was extra cortef was not necessary, but people with CAH had a lower glucose response.  It was an interesting study.  I do not give my kids extra cortef,  but I do send gatorade and a snack for a long practice.
