Hi Susan,

I’ve wondered about this myself. Somehow, I doubt that these are really used copies since they started appearing on the Internet within a week or two of the book becoming "live"...too fast for a real person to buy and resell their copy, in my opinion.

The funny thing is, if you click the tab for "used" copies on Amazon, all the booksellers listed say their products are "brand new" and "in perfect condition." I’m not sure how something can be "used" and "brand new" at the same time, but I guess anything is possible in the world of retail sales! Bottom line, I think it’s essentially a marketing ploy, though maybe they are "seconds" or not completely perfect copies...kinda like what you might find at an outlet mall??? (Sorry...dont’ really know!)
