My daughter just had the surgery at hopkins on the 16th. It went pretty smoothly. We recovered in the intermediate care unit and received excellent nursing care. The nurses told me on the 2nd day postop that her pressures were alittle high. They looked up her last clinic visit and said that it was a little high on that visit also. The endo came in the next day and proclaimed it was the florinef and we should half the doasge. I gave it some consideration and decided to check it out after we got home. She was on pain meds and was receiving large doses of fluid through her iv. A few days after we got home I purchased an appropriate size bp monitor and have been taking it everyday. Her numbers are right on target. I think it may have been stress and other factors. We were not able to complete the internal part of the surgery because there was not enough space but the external part was completed and the results were amazing. We will go back in a year or two to complete the interanl portion. My daughter is also adopted so when it comes to questions about growth and other heridtary facotrs I am in the dark. I hope things improve quickly for her granddaughter quickly. We will keep you in our prayers.debbie
