I am very much like Wendy-Lee.  My almost 8 year old daughter was diagnosed through an amnio.  My daughters are 20 months apart.  I thought there was no way I could do it.  In a way, it was a blessing to know before hand.  There was so much trauma surrounding the birth of our first daughter but our 2nd daughter’s birth was planned and all of the necessary doctors were there.  I took dex and she was born with a healthy urinary tract and no virilazation.  My oldest suffered from such severe UTI’s that she was often hospitalized and it forced the surgery to be done before I had wanted it to.
