I think a phone call from your attorney, warnign that doctor how close he came to getting sued for wrongful death (accompanied by a similar phone call from the endo) would do a world of wonders. I used to have a chart I made outlining the procedure we go through when they get sick. It goes something like this...

If they vomit.
  =>double dose
    =>if they continue to vomit, call doctor, use Phenergan.
      =>If they still continue to vomit, call doctor again, give shot.
        (Sometimes at this point they get better, sometime we go ahead and take them to the ER. The doctor sees the shot as a stop-gap measure to maintain levels until they can get to the ER, but there are occasions that the shot takes care of the problem)

I can’t recall a time when we took one to the ER before we’d given them the shot.
