We discussed each one with a genetic counselor, and my husband and I decided the amnio seemed safer.  I just felt more comfortable with it.  I did do the fish test with the amnio that let me know the sex of the baby in two days; however, it took about 4 weeks for the results of the CAH to return.  The other amnio results returned within two weeks (down’s syndorme ect. )
