Thank you all for your support and advice :)

I have made changes to our emergency protocal letter and have made an apt with our GP with the hope that he will  sign it and send it to ER to be put in my daughters file. Our endo is on leave for a couple of months but next time we see her I will try and get more information and support from her re this situation. The reason ER Dr would not give the shot was because of  oral dosings, meds are usually absorbed in one hr so if no vomit for 1 hour after oral meds then no shot is necessary, this makes sense to me if she just vomitted once or twice but because she was throwing up often throughout the day it was hard to determine if meds were absorbed or not, also stomach acid can affect absorption of meds. The point was that in spite of being stress dosed she was still becoming increasingly ill.

We did have a wonderful pediatrician who set up a plan for when we went to ER involving herself and two other Drs so that one would always be on call for us if needed.  Unfortunately she has moved. We are considering moving to a larger city with endo nearby. Is difficult to do though with  morgage, work, life, etc. all here. I will continue to sort things out and get a plan in place.  You are right a book would probably collect dust at the hospital,  it is a lot easier to read one page,  although my GP said he would read his copy.

My husband used to be chair of our hospital board......I wish he was still in that position.

Thanks again
