This is not CAH related but I am requesting prayers.  My husband’s friend who works for the Fairfield County (OH) Sheriff’s dept. was killed in the line of duty this afternoon.  He was responding to a call.  This is the 3rd in just over a year.  It’s been very hard on us.  He was 29 and married.  Please pray for his family, friends and dept.

The Fairfield County Sheriff says a deputy was killed in a one-car accident.

The accident occurred on State Route 188, just west of Beck’s Nob Road, which is west of Lancaster.

The deputy, who is in his 20s, was responding to a call of an officer in distress. He was traveling westbound on SR 188 when he apparently lost control of his car, flipped several times and came to a stop.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff is notifying the family, so the deputy’s name has not been released yet.

It is an emotional scene at the accident site. The deputies who are there knew the deputy who was killed and they are trying to investigate the accident as best they can.

They will try to determine how fast the deputy was going and any elements that may have led to the crash.
