rejection due to CAH

Hello to all and sorry to say my New Year has somehow gotten off to a wrong start.

I don’t know if you all are aware that Mitzi’s other Grandparents moved here from Texas  in July. We have a civil and caring relationship for the childrens sake. Since being back in the area they have had Mitzi several times 2/3 times. She stayed overnight one night. Christmas day they ask for her to come over so we take her around 4:30.........by 6:30 they have called and says she wants to come home and does not want to spend the night(optional) We pick her up and ask her why she wanted to come home and not stay with Grandma Lorraine and she said she likes her house. Monday evening I get a phone call from Lorraine stating that Mitzi cried when she stayed allnight and it kept them up and they could not get there rest. She keeps the other children and Mitzi’s brother EVERY weekend. Mitzi is the only girl and is not included in other family functions and outings . They are aware of medication procedures ect. They keep refering to the outings as boy functions and exclude her all the time. During this conversation I expressed my concern for Mitzi being left out and her brother not having the chance to be around her more. She came back that maybe Mitzi should have been a boy and it would have been easier. Keep in mind this is there ONLY Grandaughter among five Grandsons. I was so taken aback I was speechless. I am trying not to over react to the rejection that Mitzi is getting from them, but at the same time I want to protect her from not being treated equal. She is only five now but when she gets older she will be aware of what is happening. The last comment was.... I think I will wait until Mitzi is older to try and bond with her. Why is her Mothers family doing this to her? Do you think it is her illness. They do not believe in medication and borderline on scientology. Although they have never missed giving Mitzi her meds. What is happening and how do I prevent this onesided relationship with her brother and nothing with her.

I am happy for Tristan...but crying inside for Mitzi. NO ONE seems to want her. Is it because of CAH? THanks Cherry
