re: rejection due to CAH

Hi Cherry, It seems that Lorraine can’t handle that there is a problem and that it was from her own daughter that the way Mitzi was born. If only they knew what it was doing to her. People can not play favourites if you have kids or grandkids you take them all as they are. Every person is different. I have 4 nephews and neices all spread across Australia and i accept them for who there are. My oldest nephew 22yrs has cerebal palsy and has just been diagnosed with Addison’s Disease so now my brother has come to me to find out more.

I think Lorraine probably needs more education on CAH and she needs to realise that she is only going to distance herself further from Mitzi. Why did the move happen then if she is not going to accept all her grandkids. And kids need each other so hopefully the bond between Mitzi and Tristan stays strong. Mitzi is going to have to deal with alot as she gets older and family is the most important thing.

Maybe Lorraine needs to get onto the site and read some of the articles.

Iam 34 and SWCAH. All my friends understand and so does work in what has to be done. Education is the biggest thing if we are going to keep on living and  breaking new boundaries in the hope for a cure or better understanding it needs to first come at the family level and not be considered taboo like 30yrs ago. So what if we are different and don’t fit the normal mould. We get on with life and tackle every hurdle in front of us. Something i have done all my life.

People need to realise that our kids are precious and special and alienating them does not help just because things are different.

GOODLUCK CHERRY.

STAY STRONG, STAY HEALTY
